Perhaps a temporary stable could also be described as sort of a short stay car park, only for horses. Although some temporary stables can last for a longer period of time, they really are only meant for horses to spend shorter periods in. There might be occasions when horse owners are moving home or undergoing renovations or taking horses on a long trip to a show or an event. The horses will need to be comfortable at all times and despite the short term nature and convenience of temporary stables; they are all designed first and foremost for the horses to feel comfortable in. There may also be the unfortunate event of an emergency of some kind when the horses will need to be housed quickly but safely. Letâs have a look at some of the facts and figures concerning these temporary stables to see if they might shed a little more light on what they are. 1. I think the most surprising thing that I learned about these short term stables was that they actually arrive on site flat pack style! Itâs almost like you have ordered a piece of furniture which you then have to assemble! 2. Assembly or installation is designed for speed and convenience and can often go from flat pack to fully assembled in minutes. 3. Most stables of this nature are made from galvanised steel. As well as being sturdy it means that they will be able to endure all the cold and wet conditions they may need to face. 4. The stable doors are all pre-mounted in their frames with spring bolts and hinges for optimum use. 5. As well as the strength of the galvanised steel, the roof and wall panels are also sturdy (despite their temporary nature) yet remain easy to handle and to assemble, with weight kept to a minimum. 6. The stables are flexible enough to assemble in a variety of ways. Side by side, back to back, the choice is yours. If space is at a premium, you will especially welcome this flexibility. 7. The doors will also be strong enough to withstand kicking from the horses and each door grill is available either vertically or horizontally. 8. Temporary stables can be fitted with their own roof or if you prefer, the roof can be left off and they can be placed âopen planâ inside existing buildings such as barns. 9. 10ft x 10ft seems to be a typical size for a temporary stable.
